The bye-laws of the Sam Higginbottom Institute of Agriculture, Technology and Sciences (Deemed University) in force immediately before the commencement of this Act shall deemed to be the first ordinance of the University and may be repealed or amended at any time by the Board of Management and ratified by the Senate in such manner as may be prescribed. There shall be an equivalence committee of the University to recognise the degrees of other Universities on the basis of University syllabus and status.
