(1)With effect from such date as the State Government may, by notification in the Gazette, appoint, there shall be established a University by the name of Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture. Technology and Sciences, Allahabad, comprising the Visitor, the Chancellor, the Vice- Chancellor, Treasurer, Pro Vice Chancellor (Academic Affairs), Pro Vice Chancellor (Administration), the Registrar, and Finance Comptroller, the Founder Society, the Senate, Board of Management and the Academic Council of the University and all such persons or committees as may hereafter become to be appointed at such,office or as members so long as they continue to hold such office or membership; (2) The University shall be a body corporate. (3) With effect from the commencement of this Act, the Sam Higginbottom Institute of Agriculture. Technology and Sciences (Deemed University) shall cease to function as such, and all the assets and liabilities of the said Deemed University shall stand transferred to the University. (4) The Founder Society has allotted 667.27 acres land and sufficient constructed buildings to the Deemed University and it is all in the possession of the Deemed University, which upon the commencement of the Act shall stand transferred to the University as mentioned in Section 3(3) of this Act
