(1) The Registrar shall be a whole-time salaried officer of the University and with the prior approval of the Senate, shall be appointed by the ViceChancellor, however, the Vice-Chancellor may also appoint any whole time teacher as Registrar for the interim period. Being a professional university, the Registrar shall be selected from amongst the eminent Educationist/Academicians not below the rank of Associate Professor. (2) The emoluments and other terms and conditions of service of the Registrar shall be as may be prescribed by the Statutes. (3) The Registrar shall have the power to enter into agreements, sign documents and authenticate records on behalf of the University and shall exercise such other powers and perform such duties as may be prescribed by the Statutes.
