(1) On and from the commencement of this Act the faculties and ongoing academic programmes of the erstwhile the Sam Higginbottom Institute of Agriculture, Technology and Sciences, (Deemed University) shall continue to be the faculties and ongoing academic programmes of the University. (2) The Academic Council and Board of Management shall have power to create and established any new faculty or a school or an institute or a college or a department.
