Subject to the provisions of this Act, the Ordinances may provide for all or any of the following matters, namely-- (a) the admission of students to the University and their enrolment as such; (b) the course of study to be laid down for all degrees and diplomas and certificates of the University; (c) the condition under which students shall be admitted to the degrees, diploma, certificate or other courses and to the examinations of the University and shall be eligible for the award of degrees and diplomas; (d) the conditions of residence of the students of the University and the levying of fees for residence in hostels maintained by the University; (e) the recognition and management of hostels not maintained by the University; (f) the special arrangements, if any, which may be made for the residence, discipline and teaching of women students and the prescribing of special courses of studies for them; (g) the appointment and emoluments of employees other than those for whom provision has been made in the statutes; (h) the management of colleges and institutions maintained by the University; (i) maintenance of discipline among the students of the University, college and institutions; (j) the fees which may be charged by the University for any purpose; (k) the conditions subject to which persons may be recognised as qualified to give instruction in hostels; (l) the conditions and mode of appointment and the duties of examining bodies, examiners and moderators; (m) the remuneration to be paid to the examiners, moderators, invigilators and tabulators; (n) the medium of instruction and the conduct of examinations; (o) the establishment of centers of studies, inter-disciplinary studies, special centers, specialised laboratories and other committees; (p) the manner of cooperation and collaboration with other Universities and authorities including learned bodies or associations; (q) the remuneration and allowances, including travelling and daily allowances to be paid to persons employed on the business of the University; (r) regulation of the conduct and duties of the employees of the University, colleges and institutions, and regulation of the conduct of the students of the University and of colleges and institutions; (s) the categories of misconduct for which action may be taken under this Act or the Statutes or the Ordinances; and (t) any other matter which, by this Act or the Statutes, is to be, or may be, provided for by the Ordinances.
