(1) The Chancellor shall be appointed by the founder society from amongst its own members, who by virtue of his/her office shall be the head of the University and preside over the convocations of the University and perform such other functions as may be prescribed by the Statutes. The Chancellor shall hold office for a period of five years and may be considered by the founder society for appointment for other terms. The Founder Society shall decide honorarium/allowances, etc. to be paid to the Chancellor. (2) Where power is conferred upon the Chancellor to nominate persons to authorities, the Chancellor shall nominate persons to represent the various interests for the furtherance of the objects of the University. The Chancellor shall visit the University campus from time to time. The nominees of the Chancellor on various committees will send their reports after the respective meetings.
