§11B

Summary

11-B. (1) The State Government shall by order, determine- 1[(a) the number of wards in to which each municipal area shall be divided for purposes of elections to the municipality ; ] (b) the extent of each ward ; (c) 2[ * * * * ] 3[(d) the number of seats to be reserved for the Scheduled Castes, the Scheduled Tribes, the backward classes and the women. ] (2) The draft of the order under sub-section (1) shall be 4[published in the manner prescribed for the period of not less than seven days]. (3) The State Government shall consider any objections 4[ x x x ] filed under sub-section (2) and the draft order, shall, if necessary, be amended, altered or modified accordingly and the upon it shall become final.
