8. If the whole of the area of a 10 [Gram Panchayat ] is included in a 11 [ city, municipality ], cantonment notified area or town area, the 11 [Gram Panchayat ] shall cease and its assets and liabilities shall be disposed of in the manner prescribed. If a part of such area is so included, its jurisdiction shall be reduced by that part.
