The State Government may, by notification and subject to such conditions as may be specified therein, assign to Gram Panchayats any or all of the following functions, namely,— (a) management and maintenance of a forest situated in the Panchayat area ; (b) management of wastelands, pasture lands or vacant lands belonging to the Government situated within the Panchayat area ; (c) collection of any tax or lands revenue and maintenance of related records.]
