118 Notwithstanding anything in this Act, during the period between the commencement of the Uttar Pradesh Panchayat Laws(Amendment) Act, 1994 and the constitution of the Gram Panchayat under this Act, the Gram Panchayat and its Pradhan, 1[x x x ] and members shall respectively exercise perform and discharge the powers, functions and duties of the Gram Panchayat and its Pradhan,1 [x x x ] and members and shall be deemed respectively to be GramPanchayat and its Pradhan 1[x x x ] and members.
