47. (1) If at any election of 1[Corporators] 2[***] any seat remains unfilled, a fresh election shall be held to fill the vacancy. (2) For the purposes of conduct of election and ascertainment of the term of a 1[Corporator] 3[***] an election under sub-section (1) shall be deemed to be an election to fill a casual vacancy.
