89. 1[ (1) The elections of members and other office-bearers of every committee referred to in section 87 shall be in such manner as may be prescribed. ] (2) The term of each committee specified in sub-sections (1) and (2) of section 87 shall be one year from the date of the first meeting of the committee but in no case extend beyond his term of the 2[Kshettra Panchayat].
