88. 1[(1) Subject to the provisions of the other sub-sections the committees specified in sub-section (1) of section 87 shall consist of one member from each circle within the Khand to be elected by the members of the Kshettra Panchayat from amongst themselves. [ 2[(2) The Pramukh shall be the ex-officio Chairman of Vitta Evam Vikas Samiti, Shiksha Samiti and Samta Samiti. ] 3[(3) [ * * * * ] 3[(3-A) [ * * * * ] 3[(4) [ * * * * ] 4[ (5) As soon as may be after their Constitution each committee specified in sub-section (1) of section 87, other than Karya Samiti, shall at its first meeting elect one of their members to be the Vice-Chairman. ] (6) The constitution of the committees specified in sub-sections (2) and (3) of section 87 shall be as may be prescribed. (7) In the event of a casual vacancy in the seat of a member or in the office of the Chairman or Vice-Chairman a member, Chairman ViceChairman, as the case may be, shall be elected for the remainder of the term of the committee in the manner, as far as may be, in which his predecessor had been elected.
