Rules relating to the supply of water by a person or company

§235A

Summary

1[235-A. The following matters relating to the grant of a licence under clause (c) of section 24 of the Act shall be regulated and governed by rules to be made by the 2[State Government] subject to the conditions prescribed in section 300 ; (1) the selection of a licensee, (2) the form of application for a licence, (3) the form of licence, (4) the preparation and submission of returns and accounts by the licensee in a prescribed form, (5) duties of a licensee, (6) the securing of a regular and wholesome supply of water by the licensee to consumers, (7) the appointment of an officer of a specified rank and class to ensure that the provisions of the Act and the rules relating to waterworks are being properly carried out, and (8) any other matter which is necessary for the proper working of the licence.
