(1) The Executive Council shall be the chief executive body of the university. (2) The administration, management and control of the university and income thereof shall be vested with the Executive Council which shall control and administer the property and funds of the university. (3) The Executive Council shall consist of the following persons, namely :- (i) the Vice-Chancellor ; (ii) a member of the General Council, who is a judge to be nominated by the Chancellor ; (iii) the Secretary or Principal Secretary or, as the case may be, Additional Chief Secretary to Government of Maharashtra, Higher and Technical Education Department ; (iv) the Secretary or Principal Secretary or, as the case may be, Additional Chief Secretary, Government of Maharashtra, Finance Department ; (v) the Secretary or Principal Secretary, Government of Maharashtra, Law and Judiciary Department ; (vi) a member of the General Council, who is a eminent person in the legal field ; (vii) a member of the General Council, who is a eminent person in the educational field ; (viii) five Professors or Associate Professors of the university to be nominated by the Vice-Chancellor. (4) The Vice-Chancellor shall be the Chairman of the Executive Council.
<span style="margin-left:15px;"></span>(<i>1</i>) The Executive Council shall be the chief executive body of the university.<br> <span style="margin-left:15px;"></span>(<i>2</i>) The administration, management and control of the university and income thereof shall be vested with the Executive Council which shall control and administer the property and funds of the university.<br> <span style="margin-left:15px;"></span>(<i>3</i>) The Executive Council shall consist of the following persons, namely :-<br> <span style="margin-left:15px;"></span><span style="margin-left:15px;"></span>(<i>i</i>) the Vice-Chancellor ;<br> <span style="margin-left:15px;"></span><span style="margin-left:15px;"></span>(<i>ii</i>) a member of the General Council, who is a judge to be nominated by the Chancellor ;<br> <span style="margin-left:15px;"></span><span style="margin-left:15px;"></span>(<i>iii</i>) the Secretary or Principal Secretary or, as the case may be, Additional Chief Secretary to Government of Maharashtra, Higher and Technical Education Department ;<br> <span style="margin-left:15px;"></span><span style="margin-left:15px;"></span>(<i>iv</i>) the Secretary or Principal Secretary or, as the case may be, Additional Chief Secretary, Government of Maharashtra, Finance Department ;<br> <span style="margin-left:15px;"></span><span style="margin-left:15px;"></span>(<i>v</i>) the Secretary or Principal Secretary, Government of Maharashtra, Law and Judiciary Department ;<br> <span style="margin-left:15px;"></span><span style="margin-left:15px;"></span>(<i>vi</i>) a member of the General Council, who is a eminent person in the legal field ;<br> <span style="margin-left:15px;"></span><span style="margin-left:15px;"></span>(<i>vii</i>) a member of the General Council, who is a eminent person in the educational field ;<br> <span style="margin-left:15px;"></span><span style="margin-left:15px;"></span>(<i>viii</i>) five Professors or Associate Professors of the university to be nominated by the Vice-Chancellor.<br> <span style="margin-left:15px;"></span>(<i>4</i>) The Vice-Chancellor shall be the Chairman of the Executive Council.<br><br>
