14. (1) The Directors of the University shall be appointed by the Vice-Chancellor with the approval of the Board in such manner and on such terms and conditions as may be prescribed. (2) The Directors shall assist the Vice-Chancellor in managing the academic, physical activities, administrative, financial and other affairs of the University and shall exercise such powers and perform such functions as may be prescribed or entrusted to them by the Vice-Chancellor. (3) The person to be appointed as a Director shall be a trainer/teacher/Lecturer/Professor of the University or be eligible to teach in any of the affiliated courses of the University in any college/institution, or a trainer/teacher/Lecturer/Professor who has at least won a medal in National Championship (Senior category)/National Games and preferably played at the National or International Level in an Olympic Sport discipline.
