15. (1) The Deans shall be appointed by the Vice-Chancellor from amongst the faculties of the University by following the due process of law. (2) The Deans shall assist the Vice-Chancellor and Director of the University in managing the academic and other affairs of the University and shall exercise such powers and perform such functions as may be prescribed or entrusted to them by the Vice Chancellor and the Director. (3) The person to be appointed as a Dean shall be a trainer/teacher/Lecturer/Professor of the University or be eligible to teach in any of the affiliated courses of the University in any college/institution, a trainer/teacher/Lecturer/Professor who has at least won a medal in National Championship (Senior category)/National Games and preferably
