(1) The jurisdiction of the University shall be the whole of the State of Meghalaya. (2) The University shall have right to open its branches or units or centres or campuses anywhere in Meghalaya with prior approval of the University Grants Commission and the State Government, and as provided under the Meghalaya Private Universities (Regulation of Establishment and Maintenance of Standards) Act, 2019.
