(1) The Finance Officer shall be a whole-time officer of the University appointed by the Vice-Chancellor with the approval of the Chancellor. (2) The Finance Officer shall be paid out of the University fund such salary and allowances as the Chancellor, in consultation with the Vice-Chancellor may decide. (3) The Finance Officer may resign his office by writing under his hand addressed to the Vice-Chancellor. (4) If the Finance Officer is for any reason temporarily unable to exercise the powers and perform the duties of his office, the Vice-Chancellor, with the approval of the Chancellor, may appoint a person temporarily for a period not exceeding six months to exercise the powers and perform the duties of the Finance Officer.
