(1) A motion for recall of a Director of a Managing Committee of a Water Users’ Association at any level may be made by giving a notice, in writing in the prescribed form, signed by not less than one-half of the total number of members of the concerned Water Users’ Association, entitled to vote: Provided that, no such motion against any office bearer shall be allowed within two years from the date of assumption of office by such office bearer. (2) If the motion referred to in sub-section (1) is carried with the support of two-third of the members present and voting at a meeting of the General Body specially convened for the purpose, the Canal Officer shall, by order, remove the office bearer, against whom such motion is passed and the resultant vacancy shall be filled in, in the prescribed manner.
