(1) The Council shall, as soon as conveniently may be after this Act comes into force, and from time to time as occasion may require, make orders for regulating the formation, maintenance and publication of registers of nurses, midwives, assistant midwives, 2[auxiliary nurse-midwives and health visitors] according to their respective qualifications. (2) The said registers shall be kept in such form or forms as may be prescribed.
