A person shall be disqualified for appointment as the Chairperson or a Member, if he:- (a) has been adjudged as insolvent; or (b) has become physically or mentally incapable of acting; or. (c) has been convicted and sentenced to imprisonment for any offence involving moral turpitude; or (d) has acquired such financial or other interest as is likely to affect his functions as the Chairperson or a Member, or (e) has so abused his position as to render his continuance in office prejudicial to the public interest; or (f) is an sitting /ex Member of Parliament, or of any State Legislature or any local Commission or is a candidate for election thereto; or (g) is an active member of a political party or holds a post therein.
