(1) Save as otherwise provided in this Act, information in respect of any person or business which, has been furnished to, or obtained by, the Commission under this Act shall be treated as classified and shall not be disclosed by the Commission, without the consent of the concerned person or the person incharge of the business. Provided that such information may be disclosed to the Central Government, the State Government, Accountant General of the State or a person who requires it in connection with the discharge of statutory duties. (2) The restriction contained in sub-section (1) shall not apply to the information related to tariff. (3) Information in possession of the Commission shall be kept confidential and may be furnished to any person or agency only with the permission of the Commission.
