(1)The State Government shall within three months from the date of commencement of this Act, by notification, establish a Commission to be known as the Uttar Pradesh Water Management and Regulatory Commission to exercise the powers conferred on, and to perform the functions assigned to it under this Act. (2) The Commission shall be a body corporate. (3) The head office of the Commission shall be at Lucknow. (4) The Commission shall consist of a Chairperson and such number of Members not exceeding five. (5) The Chairperson and the Members of the Commission shall be appointed by the State Government on the recommendation of the selection committee referred to in section 6.
