Every member of the State Approval Committee, SEZ Development Committee, and the Development Commissioner shall, when acting or purporting to act in pursuance of the provisions of this Act or the rules made thereunder, be deemed to be the public servant within the meaning of section 21 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 (Central Act No. 45 of 1860).
