The State Government may, by notification published in the Official Gazette, prohibit unregistered persons from practising as nurses, midwives, health visitors and auxiliary nurse midwives, and any unregistered person practising in contravention of such notification shall be liable, on conviction by a Magistrate of the First Class, to a fine not exceeding three hundred rupees.
