Erasure on notice of death. — (1) Every Registrar of Deaths, who receives notice of the death of any person whose name he knows to be entered in one of the registers, shall forthwith transmit by post to the Registrar of the Council a certificate of such death signed by him and stating the particulars of the time and place of death. (2) On receipt of— (a) any such certificate, or (b) any other reliable information regarding such death, the Registrar of the Council shall erase the name of the deceased person from the register in which, it is entered.
17.
