23. Preparation, publication and use of annual lists of nurses, health visitors and auxiliary nurse-midwives. &#x2014; (1) The Registrar shall, in every year, on or before a date to be fixed in this behalf by the Council, cause to be prepared, printed and published in the prescribed manner lists in the prescribed form and specifying the prescribed particular, separately of: &#x2014; (a) all registered nurses (b) all registered midwives (c) all registered health visitors, and (d) all registered auxiliary nurse-midwives. (2) In every proceeding it shall be presumed that any person whose name is entered in the latest of the lists published under sub-section (1) is a registered nurse or a registered midwife or a registered health visitor or a registered auxiliary nurse-midwife, as the case may be: Provided that, in the case of a person whose name may have been entered in a register after the publication of a list under sub-section (1) and before the publication of a fresh list thereunder, a certified copy of such entry signed by the Registrar, shall be evidence that such person is registered under this Act. <br>
