26. Where in the circumstances mentioned in 1[clause (b)] of section 25, a person is entitled to a pension, salary or remuneration amounting to less than 2[the amount of pension admissible under section 24] per month, then the pension payable to such person under section 24 shall not exceed the amount by which such pension, salary or remuneration falls short of 3[the amount of pension admissible under section 24] per month.
