1[24-A. Where a person becomes entitled to pension or additional pension under this Act on the ground that he has served as a member of the Assembly or Council, constituted or in existence before January 1, 1946 such pension or additional pension, as the case may be, shall be deemed to be admissible to such person with effect from January 1, 1977.]
