34. (1) The State Government may appoint two suitable persons respectively as Additional Chief Executive Officer and the Finance Officer of the [Parishad]1 who shall exercise such powers and perform such duties as may be prescribed by regulations or delegated to them by the [Parishad]1 or the Chief Executive Officer. (2) Subject to such control and restrictions as may be determined by general or special order of the State Government the Parishad may appoint such number of other officers and employees as may be necessary for the efficient discharge of its functions under this Act and may, subject to any rules that may be made in this behalf, make appointments on such posts and determine the designations and grades of persons so appointed. (3) the qualifications, terms and conditions of service and functions and duties of officers and employees appointed under subsection (2), shall be such as may be prescribed. (4) The Additional Chief Executive Officer, the Finance Officer and other officers and employees of the [Parishad]1 shall be entitled to receive from the Fund of the Parishad such salaries and allowances as may be determined by the State Government in this behalf.
