The University shall be deemed to have been established and incorporated for the purposes, among others, of ; (a) making provision for the education of the rural people of Uttar Pradesh in different branches of study, particularly agriculture, rural industry and business and other allied subjects ; (b) furthering the prosecution of research, particularly in agriculture and other allied sciences ; and (c) undertaking field and extension programmes.
