(1) This Act may be called the Sanjay Gandhi Post-Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences Act, 1983. (2) It shall extend to the whole of Uttar Pradesh. (3) Sections 4 and 18 shall come into force at once and the remaining provisions of the Act shall be deemed to have come into force on October 18, 1982.
