(1) Every election to any authority or body of the university under this Act, except the elections to the post referred in clauses (a) to (e) of sub-section (2) and clauses (a) to (e) of sub-section (3) of section 99, shall be held by ballot in accordance with the system of proportional representation by means of the single transferable vote and as prescribed by the Statutes. (2) The other details relating to elections not specified in the Act shall be as prescribed by the Statutes.
<span style="margin-left:15px;"></span>(<i>1</i>) Every election to any authority or body of the university under this Act, except the elections to the post referred in clauses (<i>a</i>) to (<i>e</i>) of sub-section (<i>2</i>) and clauses (<i>a</i>) to (<i>e</i>) of sub-section (<i>3</i>) of section 99, shall be held by ballot in accordance with the system of proportional representation by means of the single transferable vote and as prescribed by the Statutes.<br> <span style="margin-left:15px;"></span>(<i>2</i>) The other details relating to elections not specified in the Act shall be as prescribed by the Statutes.<br>
