(1) The 1[State] Government may by notification in the Official Gazette make rules to carry into effect the purposes of this Act. (2) In particular and without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing power, such rules may provide for- (i) the form in which intimation shall be given under sub-section (1) of section 6; (ii) the manner of holding an inquiry under sub-section (1), and the amount of compensation to be prescribed under sub-section (3) of section 8; 2[(ii-a) the manner and form in which applications for determination of payment of compensation shall be made, and the information required to accompany such applications, under section 9B;] (iii) levy of court-fees in respect of appeals under sections 8 and 9; (iv) exemption of any land from the provisions of section 5 or 6 or both and the terms and conditions on which the land shall be exempted; (v) any other matter which under this Act is to be or may be prescribed.
<span style="margin-left:15px;"></span>(<i>1</i>) The <sup>1</sup>[State] Government may by notification in the <i>Official Gazette</i> make rules to carry into effect the purposes of this Act. <br> <span style="margin-left:15px;"></span>(<i>2</i>) In particular and without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing power, such rules may provide for-<br> <span style="margin-left:15px;"></span><span style="margin-left:15px;"></span><i>(i)</i> the form in which intimation shall be given under sub-section (<i>1</i>) of section 6; <br> <span style="margin-left:15px;"></span><span style="margin-left:15px;"></span>(<i>ii</i>) the manner of holding an inquiry under sub-section (<i>1</i>), and the amount of compensation to be prescribed under sub-section (<i>3</i>) of section 8; <br> <span style="margin-left:15px;"></span><span style="margin-left:15px;"></span><sup>2</sup>[(<i>ii-a</i>) the manner and form in which applications for determination of payment of compensation shall be made, and the information required to accompany such applications, under section 9B;]<br> <span style="margin-left:15px;"></span><span style="margin-left:15px;"></span>(<i>iii</i>) levy of court-fees in respect of appeals under sections 8 and 9;<br> <span style="margin-left:15px;"></span><span style="margin-left:15px;"></span>(<i>iv</i>) exemption of any land from the provisions of section 5 or 6 or both and the terms and conditions on which the land shall be exempted; <br> <span style="margin-left:15px;"></span><span style="margin-left:15px;"></span>(<i>v</i>) any other matter which under this Act is to be or may be prescribed.<br>
