(1) The State Government may, by order, remove from office the Chairperson or any Member of the Housing Regulatory Authority, if the Chairperson or such Member, as the case may be, has,- (a) been adjudged as insolvent; or (b) been convicted of an offence, which, in the opinion of the State Government, involves moral turpitude; or (c) become physically or mentally incapable of acting as a Chairperson or Member; or (d) acquired such financial or other interest as is likely to affect prejudicially his function as a Chairperson or Member; or (e) so abused his position, as to render his continuance in office prejudicial to the public interest. (2) No Chairperson or Member shall be removed from his office under clause (d) or clause (e) of sub-section (1) unless he has been given a reasonable opportunity of being heard.
<span style="margin-left:15px;"></span>(<i>1</i>) The State Government may, by order, remove from office the Chairperson or any Member of the Housing Regulatory Authority, if the Chairperson or such Member, as the case may be, has,-<br> <span style="margin-left:15px;"></span><span style="margin-left:15px;"></span>(<i>a</i>) been adjudged as insolvent; or <br> <span style="margin-left:15px;"></span><span style="margin-left:15px;"></span><i>(b)</i> been convicted of an offence, which, in the opinion of the State Government, involves moral turpitude; or <br> <span style="margin-left:15px;"></span><span style="margin-left:15px;"></span>(<i>c</i>) become physically or mentally incapable of acting as a Chairperson or Member; or <br> <span style="margin-left:15px;"></span><span style="margin-left:15px;"></span>(<i>d</i>) acquired such financial or other interest as is likely to affect prejudicially his function as a Chairperson or Member; or <br> <span style="margin-left:15px;"></span><span style="margin-left:15px;"></span>(<i>e</i>) so abused his position, as to render his continuance in office prejudicial to the public interest.<br> <span style="margin-left:15px;"></span>(<i>2</i>) No Chairperson or Member shall be removed from his office under clause (<i>d</i>) or clause (<i>e</i>) of sub-section (<i>1</i>) unless he has been given a reasonable opportunity of being heard. <br>
