(1) The University shall constitute such number of schools as may be prescribed by the Statutes from time to time and each of such school shall, subject to control of Academic Council, be responsible for the co-ordination of study and research in the branches coming under its purview. (2) There shall be a Dean for each school, who shall be nominated by the Vice-Chancellor. (3) Subject to the provisions of this Act, Dean of each school shall exercise such powers and perform such duties as may be prescribed by the Statutes. (4) The Dean of each school shall be responsible for the due observance of the Statutes, Regulations, Ordinances and Rules in guiding the research activities of faculty. (5) The Dean of school shall hold office for a term of three years.
