8Protection of action taken under this Act
(1) No suit, prosecution or other legal proceeding shall lie against any person for anything which is in good faith done or intended to be done in pursuance of this Act or any rules made thereunder.
(2) Except as otherwise provided in this Act, no suit or other legal proceeding shall lie against the Central Government or the State Government in respect of any damage caused or likely to be caused by anything in good faith done or intended to be done in pursuance of this Act or any rules made thereunder.
