(1) Every person whose land or building or any interest therein has been acquired under the provisions of this Act shall be entitled to, and be paid, compensation by the State Government in accordance with the provisions of this Act in the manner prescribed. (2) The payment of compensation in accordance with the provisions of this Act shall be full discharge of the liability of the State Government to make such payment to the person as may have rightful claim, but shall not prejudice any right in respect of such compensation which any other person may be entitled to enforce against the person to whom payment is so made.
