Whoever falsely publishes or spreads false information with the intention to mislead or otherwise harm any community or group of persons or person shall be punishd with rigorous imprisonment for a term which shall not be less than six months but may extend to three years and shall also be liable to be punished with fine which shall not be less than ten thousand rupees but which may extend to one lakh rupees.
