(1) The Board may, by notification, declare an area to be a reserved area to ensure the availability of sufficient milk at fair prices. (2) When an area has been declared a reserved area, the dairy or dairies in such area shall, if so directed by the Board, purchase all the milk offered by the producers in the area at such price as may be notified by the Board having regard to relevant factors such as availability and quality of milk and price of milk in that area during the preceding year.
