Any person who (i) fails to file the statement as required; or (ii) fails to furnish the information and particulars called upon, shall be guilty of an offence and shall be punishable with fine which may extend to rupees ten thousand and when the offence is a continuing one, with a fine which may extend to rupees five hundred per day.
