12. An Inspector shall, for the purpose of any of the duties which is authorized or required to perform under this Act, be deemed to be a public servant, as defined in the Indian Penal Code, and shall for thatpurpose have such powers as may be prescribed by the State Government under clause (a) of sub-section (2) of section 30.
