(1) The amount specified in the award shall be paid in cash to the person entitled thereto. (2) Where the amount awarded is not paid at the time of or before taking possession of the private forest, the amount awarded shall be payable with interest thereon at the rate of four per cent per annum from the time of taking possession till the time the amount is paid.
