Subject to the provisions of this Act, the Statutes may provide for all or any of the following matters, namely :- (a) the constitution, powers and duties of the authorities of the University; (b) the constitution, powers and duties of the officers of the University; (c) the emoluments and other conditions of service of the Vice-Chancellor and his powers and duties; (d) the designations, qualifications, methods of recruitment, pay, allowances and other conditions of service of various categories of employees of the University and their powers and duties; (e) the constitution, re-constitution or abolition of a Faculty or the Board of Studies and their powers and duties; (f) the establishment of departments of teaching in a conducted institutions; (g) the conferment of honorary degrees and academic distinctions; (h) the institution of pension or provident fund or insurance scheme, or all or any one or more of them, for the benefit of employees of the University; (i) the qualifications of professors, assistant professors, readers, lecturers, demonstrators and other members of the academics staff of the University and recognized institutions; (j) registration of graduates and maintenance of a register of registered graduates; (k) recognition of examinations of other Universities or educational institutions as equivalent to the examinations of the University; (l) any matter which is to be or may be prescribed under this Act; and (m) any other matter which is necessary to give effect to the provisions of this Act.
<span style="margin-left:15px;"></span>Subject to the provisions of this Act, the Statutes may provide for all or any of the following matters, namely :- <br> <span style="margin-left:15px;"></span><span style="margin-left:15px;"></span>(<i>a</i>) the constitution, powers and duties of the authorities of the University; <br> <span style="margin-left:15px;"></span><span style="margin-left:15px;"></span><i>(b)</i> the constitution, powers and duties of the officers of the University; <br> <span style="margin-left:15px;"></span><span style="margin-left:15px;"></span>(<i>c</i>) the emoluments and other conditions of service of the Vice-Chancellor and his powers and duties; <br> <span style="margin-left:15px;"></span><span style="margin-left:15px;"></span>(<i>d</i>) the designations, qualifications, methods of recruitment, pay, allowances and other conditions of service of various categories of employees of the University and their powers and duties; <br> <span style="margin-left:15px;"></span><span style="margin-left:15px;"></span>(<i>e</i>) the constitution, re-constitution or abolition of a Faculty or the Board of Studies and their powers and duties; <br> <span style="margin-left:15px;"></span><span style="margin-left:15px;"></span>(<i>f</i>) the establishment of departments of teaching in a conducted institutions; <br> <span style="margin-left:15px;"></span><span style="margin-left:15px;"></span>(<i>g</i>) the conferment of honorary degrees and academic distinctions; <br> <span style="margin-left:15px;"></span><span style="margin-left:15px;"></span>(<i>h</i>) the institution of pension or provident fund or insurance scheme, or all or any one or more of them, for the benefit of employees of the University; <br> <span style="margin-left:15px;"></span><span style="margin-left:15px;"></span><i>(i)</i> the qualifications of professors, assistant professors, readers, lecturers, demonstrators and other members of the academics staff of the University and recognized institutions;<br> <span style="margin-left:15px;"></span><span style="margin-left:15px;"></span>(<i>j</i>) registration of graduates and maintenance of a register of registered graduates; <br> <span style="margin-left:15px;"></span><span style="margin-left:15px;"></span>(<i>k</i>) recognition of examinations of other Universities or educational institutions as equivalent to the examinations of the University; <br> <span style="margin-left:15px;"></span><span style="margin-left:15px;"></span>(<i>l</i>) any matter which is to be or may be prescribed under this Act; and <br> <span style="margin-left:15px;"></span><span style="margin-left:15px;"></span>(<i>m</i>) any other matter which is necessary to give effect to the provisions of this Act. <br>
