(1) Notwithstanding anything contained in any other provisions of this Act and the statutes:- (a) The First Board of Governors shall consist of not more than nine members who shall be nominated by the Chancellor and they shall hold office for a term of three years, or till the Board is constituted as per the provisions contained in sub-section (1) of section 19 of this Act; (b) The first Executive Council, the first Finance Committee and the first Academic Council shall be constituted by the Chancellor for a period of three years, or till the said bodies are constituted as per the provisions contained in Section 19; and (c) The first Vice-Chancellor shall be appointed by the State Government, who shall hold office until a regular appointment is made in accordance with provisions contained in section 11.
