(1) No occupier of a sugar factory[or a khandsari sugar manufacturing unit] shall adulterate or allow to be adulterated any molasses produced or held in stock by him. (2) The presence of any molasses having less than forty per cent sugar contents (expressed as total reduucing sugar, determined by the Lane and Egnon's volumetric method) in any storage tank of a sugar factory[or a khandsari sugar manufacturing unit] shall be sufficient to raise a presumption that the occupier of the factory has adulterated the molasses or allowed it to be adulterated.
