Burial within places of worship and exhumations not to be made without permission of 1Municipal Commissioner

(1) No person shall, without the written permission of the 1Municipal Commissioner under sub-section (2) &#x2014;\br<span style="margin-left:15px;"></span><span style="margin-left:15px;"></span>@s 3 (a) make any vault or grave or interment within any wall of any place of worship or underneath any passage, porch, portico, plinth or verandah of any such place.\br<span style="margin-left:15px;"></span><span style="margin-left:15px;"></span>@s (b) make any internet or otherwise dispose of any corpse in any place which is closed for the dead under section 415 ;\br<span style="margin-left:15px;"></span><span style="margin-left:15px;"></span>@s (c) build, dig or cause to be built or dug any grave or vault, or in any way dispose of or suffer or permit to be disposed of, any corpse at any place which is not registered in the register kept under section 412 ;\br<span style="margin-left:15px;"></span><span style="margin-left:15px;"></span>@s (d) exhume anybody, except under the provisions of section 176 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1898, or of any other law for the time being in force from any place for the disposal of the dead.\br<span style="margin-left:15px;"></span><span style="margin-left:15px;"></span>@s (2) The 1Municipal Commissioner may in special cases grant permission for any of the purposes aforesaid, subject to such general or special orders as the State Government may from time to time make in this behalf.\br<span style="margin-left:15px;"></span><span style="margin-left:15px;"></span>@s<br>
