(1) Where any difficulty arises in relation to the transition from the provisions of the Uttar Pradesh Soil Conservation Act, 1954, to the provisions of this Act, the State Government may, for the purpose of facilitating such transition, direct, by an order notified in the Gazette that the provisions of this Act shall, for a limited period specified in the order, have effect subject to such modifications, as may be so specified. (2) No order shall be made under this section after the expiration of two years from the date of commencement of this Act. (3) An order made under this section shall be laid before both the Houses of the Legislature, as soon as may be after it is made.
