4. (1) The State Government may, by notification in the Gazette, appoint any person or class of persons, as it may deem fit, to be Inspectors for the purposes of this Act.(2) Every Inspector appointed under this Act shall be deemed to be a public servant within the meaning of section 21 of the Indian Penal Code.
